SAINT (Small Aperture Imaging Network Telescope)—A Wide-Field Telescope Complex for Detecting and Studying Optical Transients at Times from Milliseconds to Years

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
In this paper, we present a project of a multi-channel wide-field optical sky monitoring system with high temporal resolution—Small Aperture Imaging Network Telescope (SAINT)— mostly built from off-the-shelf components and aimed towards searching and ...

Altered responses to ghrelin and food cues in AgRP neurons during pregnancy and lactation. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Neuroendocrinol
Abstract Pregnancy and lactation trigger many metabolic adaptations, including increased food intake to support the energy demands of the growing foetus and then to provide nutrition through milk production after birth. Ghrelin, an orexigenic hormone, activates agouti related peptide (AgRP) neurons in the arcuate nucleus to promote food intake.

Spectroscopy and multiband photometry of the afterglow of intermediate duration γ-ray burst GRB 040924 and its host galaxy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Aims. We present optical photometry and spectroscopy of the afterglow and host galaxy of gamma-ray burst GRB040924. This GRB had a rather short duration of T90 ∼ 2.4 s, and a well sampled optical afterglow light curve.

Luminosity and photometry [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London, 1897
Abstract The luminosity of the spectrum was determined by what may be term ed the method of the “minimal effective stimulus.” Through the partition separating two dark rooms from each other a hole was drilled 1 mm. across; this was covered with a piece of ground glass.
