A GLP‐1R/Y1 receptor/Y2 receptor triple agonist decreases fentanyl‐evoked dopamine release in the nucleus accumbens and attenuates fentanyl taking and seeking in rats

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Emerging literature indicates that simultaneously targeting glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptors (GLP‐1Rs) and neuropeptide Y receptors (Y1/Y2) may represent a new pharmacotherapeutic approach to treating opioid use disorder (OUD).

Experimental Study of PWM-Controlled Emission From a Large-Aperture VCSEL

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
This study demonstrates the use of pulse-width modulation (PWM) for mode selection in a large-aperture vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL). Experimental results reveal that driving the device with 1 kHz PWM pulses maintains a stable far-field ...

Characterising Hot Spots of Mediterranean Fruit Fly Infestation in Apple Orchards: Implications for Pest Monitoring and Management

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Mediterranean fruit fly (medfly, Ceratitis capitata [Wiedemann]) (Diptera: Tephritidae), is a significant pest causing sizeable economic burden and fruit damage to crops worldwide, especially in the Mediterranean area. In deciduous orchards, monitoring the population of Mediterranean flies is an intensive and expensive process.

The Future of Non‐Invasive Brain Stimulation in Sleep Medicine

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Non‐invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) methods carry particular appeal as non‐pharmacological approaches to inducing or improving sleep. However, intense research efforts to use transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electrical stimulation (tES) for sleep modulation have not yet delivered evidence‐based NIBS treatments in sleep medicine ...

Probing Disk Ice Content and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon Emission through Multiband MagAO+Clio Images of HD 141569

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present resolved images of the inner disk component around HD 141569A using the Magellan adaptive optics system with the Clio2 1–5 μ m camera, offering a glimpse of a complex system thought to be in a short evolutionary phase between protoplanetary ...

Temperate Forest Floor Bryophytes Functionally Respond to Small‐Scale Variability in Water, Light and Nutrient Availability

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
Bryophytes are an integral component of many ecosystems, but their functional ecology is little studied and therefore poorly understood. We related measurements of 10 functional traits for over 400 samples from common forest floor bryophytes to small‐scale environmental variability and found that bryophyte traits respond highly sensitively.
