Heavy quark production in photon-nucleon and photon-photon collisions [PDF]
We discuss several mechanisms of heavy quark production in (real) photon-nucleon and (real) photon - (real) photon collisions. In particular we focuse on application of the Saturation Model. We discuss how to generalize the formula from virtual photon - proton scattering and analyze threshold effects.

In this work, we highlight a unique material platform capable of producing three distinct room temperature (RT) photoluminescence (PL) resonances from spatially separated regions composed of a heterobilayer (HBL), a homobilayer (HoBL), and an heterotrilayer (HTL) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) heterostructures configuration on a highly ...

Spectrum, Landau–Zener theory and driven-dissipative dynamics of a staircase of photons
We study the production of photons in a model of three bosonic atomic modes nonlinearly coupled to a cavity mode. In the absence of external driving and dissipation, the energy levels at different photon numbers assemble into the steps of an energy ...

A Ti3C2@TiO2 heterostructure has been successfully fabricated by an in situ oxidation approach. The as‐fabricated Ti3C2@TiO2‐based photodetector exhibits narrow‐spectrum response with excellent stability. It also realizes sensitive Cr(VI) detection in a large concentration range of 10−12–10−6 M with an ultra‐low detection limit of 7.6 × 10−12 M ...

The Role of Bethe–Heitler Pair Production in Reconnection-driven Flares in M87*
Rapid TeV flares have been observed from the core of the active galaxy M87. These have been attributed to inverse Compton scattering of disk photons by electrons and positrons accelerated in transient reconnection layers formed in baryon-poor regions of ...

A hybrid photoprotective material integrates N‐doped TiO2 with a metal‐phenolic network (MPN) to achieve broad‐spectrum attenuation and robust reactive oxygen species (ROS) suppression. Nitrogen doping extends attenuation into the UVA/high energy visible light (HEV) regions and facilitates fast charge recombination to inhibit ROS formation.

Dark photon dark matter from flattened axion potentials
Dark photons can be resonantly produced in the early universe via their coupling to an oscillating axion field. However, this mechanism typically requires large axion-dark photon couplings or some degree of fine-tuning.

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...
