Advances in Optical Techniques for Tumor Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Cancer detection is vital for patient survival. Optical technologies overcome conventional cytology's limitations with high sensitivity and molecular specificity. This review highlights five techniques: Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence sensors, fiber optic sensors, photoacoustic imaging, and colorimetric detection for tumor diagnosis via direct ...

Resolving Dye Embedment in MOF‐5: Multimodal Evidence for Perylene‐Based Guest Encapsulation

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Unambiguous discrimination between surface‐adsorbed and pore‐incorporated photoactive dyes remains a key challenge in hybrid MOF systems. This study presents a comprehensive multi‐technique approach ‐ combining PXRD, IR spectroscopy, N2 physisorption, and time‐resolved photoluminescence ‐ complemented by DFTB3 molecular dynamics, to elucidate the ...

From Single to Multi‐Glass/Ceramic Microarchitectures via Two‐Photon Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Two‐photon lithography enables precise oxide microarchitectures. A transition is made from single to multi‐glass/ceramic materials by integrating spatially varied compositions via fluidic photoresin exchange. Low‐temperature annealing and optical characterization (i.e., cathodoluminescence, fluorescence microscopy) reveal how post‐treatment affects the

Correlation Between Exciplex Binding Energies and Molecular Structures in Organic Donor–Acceptor Mixtures

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This paper presents both experimental data and a theoretical model that correlates molecular structure with exciplex binding energy. The findings consistently demonstrate that large molecules with ionic charges localized at their edges exhibit low exciplex binding energies.
