Helicalization of Covalent Organic Framework Nanofibers with Amplified Spin Polarizability for Boosting Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐covalent chirality‐induced strategy via chiral solvents is presented to synthesize helical 2D COF nanofibers with high crystallinity, high chirality, and high spin polarization. The helical structure enhances the concentration of photogenerated charges, suppresses exciton recombination, and extends carrier lifetimes, thereby significantly ...

Substrate‐Affinitive P‐Type Azapolycyclic Photosensitizer for Chemoselective Nitrilization Under Mild Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a series of quinoxalinoquinoxaline (QQ) photosensitizers featuring high and tunable excited‐state reduction potentials (E(PC•+/PC*) = –1.76 to –2.05 V vs. SCE). Their hydrogen‐bonding interaction with carbonyl substrates enables selective single‐electron transfer events for selective nitrilization of 1° amides, offering a tunable ...

Self-assembled aldehyde dehydrogenase-activatable nano-prodrug for cancer stem cell-enriched tumor detection and treatment

open access: yesNature Communications
Cancer stem cells, characterized by high tumorigenicity and drug-resistance, are often responsible for tumor progression and metastasis. Aldehyde dehydrogenases, often overexpressed in cancer stem cells enriched tumors, present a potential target for ...

Bidirectional Photoswitching of a Tailored Azobenzene with Red and Far‐Red Light Involving Triplet Sensitization in an Aqueous System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The action spectrum of a tailored azobenzene is shifted toward bio‐optical window through the chemical modification of its singlet and triplet energy levels. Consequently, the bidirectional photo‐switching of azobenzene in physiological conditions is achieved when excited by red and far‐red light, which offers greater tissue penetration.

Concentration-Dependent Photoproduction of Singlet Oxygen by Common Photosensitizers

open access: yesMolecules
Singlet oxygen quantum yield (ΦΔ) is a critical parameter in photodynamic studies, particularly for evaluating photosensitizers’ efficiency in diverse applications such as photodynamic therapy and environmental remediation.
