A Universal Doping Strategy for Boosting Luminescence Efficiency of Blue‐Emitting Hybrid Zn Halides as Ultrastable and Underwater Scintillators

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A Pb2+‐doping method is demonstrated to be a universal strategy to realize near‐unity photoluminescence quantum yield and high water‐resistance stability for a family of blue‐emitting zero‐dimensional Zn2+‐based halides through increasing the exciton binding energy and carrier density.

BOPHY Dyes Bearing Arylsulfenyl Moieties as Highly Efficient Triplet Photosensitizers

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A new set of symmetric BOPHY dyes has been successfully applied in photoinduced processes acting as triplet photosensitizers. They have been used not only in bimolecular systems for photon upconversion based on triplet‐triplet annihilation but also in generating singlet oxygen for oxidation processes.

Piano‐Stool Rhodium(V) and Rhodium(IV) Intermediates in C─H Functionalization and B─H Functionalization: Mechanistic Insights and Emerging Reactivity

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
High‐valent Rh(IV) and Rh(V) species have been invoked to rationalize enhanced catalytic reactivity. This review examines evidence for both, emphasizing reactions proceeding through the Rh(III)/Rh(IV)/Rh(II) cycle. While Rh(V) intermediates are computationally supported, experimental evidence is limited; Rh(IV) species are supported by both theory and ...
