Crystal structure of 1-methanesulfonyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2015
In the title compound, C10H13NO2S, the heterocyclic ring adopts a half-chair conformation and the bond-angle sum at the N atom is 347.9°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of C—H...O hydrogen bonds generate R22(8) loops.

Bacterial outer membrane vesicles as drug delivery carrier for photodynamic anticancer therapy

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2023
Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is an effective tumor treatment strategy that not only induces photocytotoxicity to kill tumor cells directly but also activates the immune system in the body to generate tumor-specific immunity, preventing cancer metastasis ...

Light Activated Induction of Cuproptosis in Resistant Cancer Cells Using Polymeric BODIPY Nanoparticles for Photoactivated Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a photo‐responsive nanoparticle platform that precisely triggers copper‐dependent cuproptotic cell death in (drug‐resistant) cancer cells. The system remains stable and inactive in the dark but releases cytotoxic species upon red‐light irradiation, achieving potent activity in drug‐resistant breast cancer cells.

Chemical Tuning and Absorption Properties of Iridium Photosensitizers for Photocatalytic Applications

open access: yesInorganics, 2017
Cyclometalated Ir(III) complexes are of particular interest due to the wide tunability of their electronic structure via variation of their ligands. Here, a series of heteroleptic Ir-based photosensitizers with the general formula [Ir(C^N)2(N^N)]+ has ...
