Dynamic light caused less photosynthetic suppression, rather than more, under nitrogen deficit conditions than under sufficient nitrogen supply conditions in soybean

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2020
Background Plants are always exposed to dynamic light. The photosynthetic light use efficiency of leaves is lower in dynamic light than in uniform irradiance.

Hyperpolarization electrical signals induced by local action of moderate heating influence photosynthetic light reactions in wheat plants

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2023
Local action of stressors induces fast changes in physiological processes in intact parts of plants including photosynthetic inactivation. This response is mediated by generation and propagation of depolarization electrical signals (action potentials and

Blue radiation stimulates photosynthetic induction in Fagus sylvatica L.

open access: yesPhotosynthetica, 2009
This study was designed to test the hypothesis that the spectral composition of incident radiation, as defined by the relative proportions of blue (B; λmax = 455 nm) and red (R; λmax = 625 nm) photons, can affect photosynthetic induction, since B photons stimulate stomatal opening and are more effectively absorbed by leaves than R photons.

Effects of exposure of the leaf abaxial surface to direct solar radiation on the leaf anatomical traits and photosynthesis of soybean (Glycine max L.) in dryland farming systems

open access: yesPhotosynthetica, 2021
The frequent occurrence of monsoon winds usually leads to the formation of inverted soybean leaves. However, the effect of leaf inversion on photosynthetic capacity remains unclear.
