Decoding mEos4b day‐long maturation and engineering fast‐maturing variants

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 34, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract The maturation speed of fluorescent proteins is a crucial parameter that influences cellular brightness, effective labeling efficiency, and temporal resolution in fluorescence microscopy. Green‐to‐red photoconvertible fluorescent proteins (PCFPs) used in pulse‐chase experiments and super‐resolution techniques such as Photoactivated ...

Ecofriendly control of Drosophila suzukii via the photoinsecticide chlorophyllin

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 8, Page 4450-4462, August 2025.
Drosophila suzukii can be killed by feeding with sodium‐magnesium‐chlorophyllin and photoactivation with sunlight or LEDs. Chlorophyllin supplementation does not result in food aversion. The moribundity increases with the light‐ and chlorophyllin dose as well as time.

GNS561 (ezurpimtrostat), a small basic lipophilic molecule, prevents lupus phenotype in a pristane‐induced lupus mouse model

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 182, Issue 16, Page 3786-3799, August 2025.
Background and Purpose Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune, multisystemic disease affecting all organs in the body. Accrued evidence has elucidated a role for autophagy in the onset and severity of systemic lupus erythematosus. The antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine constitutes the cornerstone of standard of care for systemic lupus ...

Contact Urticaria and Related Conditions: Clinical Review

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 93, Issue 2, Page 87-107, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Contact urticaria (CoU) is an immediate contact reaction occurring within minutes to an hour after exposure to specific proteins or chemicals. CoU is categorised into non‐immunologic (NI‐CoU) and immunologic (I‐CoU) types, with I‐CoU potentially leading to anaphylaxis. Both forms of CoU can be associated with protein contact dermatitis and the

Leveraging Fiber Photometry to Decipher Neural Circuits Underlying Anxiety in Mice

open access: yesFundamental &Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 39, Issue 5, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Anxiety disorders rank among the most prevalent mental health conditions worldwide, significantly affecting patients' lives. They are frequently comorbid with other psychiatric disorders, often exacerbating their severity. Current pharmacological treatments; selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and benzodiazepines, remain limited in
