General modeling procedure for photovoltaic arrays

Electric Power Systems Research, 2018
Abstract Photovoltaic (PV) arrays are usually formed by strings of panels connected in parallel creating the series-parallel (SP) configuration. Additional connections can be implemented among the strings of the SP configuration to mitigate a particular mismatching profile.

Carbon nanotube arrays for photovoltaic applications

JOM, 2007
Vertically aligned periodic arrays of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are used to create topographically enhanced light-trapping photovoltaic cells. The CNTs form the back contact of the device and serve as a scaffold to support the photoactive heterojunction.

Novel modeling approach for photovoltaic arrays

2012 IEEE 55th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2012
This paper proposes high accuracy modeling approach for photovoltaic (PV) arrays. I–V characteristic of PV cell is described by nonlinear equation that's complicated to be solved by the ordinary mathematical methods. The main theme of this contribution is to use a robust algorithm to solve for all single diode model parameters.

Grid-connected amorphous silicon photovoltaic array

Progress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, 1996
A roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) array has been installed at Loughborough University in the UK. The array output is connected through a commercial grid-connected inverter to the University supply network. The system was the third grid-connected PV inst allation to be connected and generating in the UK.

Simulation of Photovoltaic Array Output

1992
The purpose of this paper was to show a sufficiently good fit for the measured output U-I characteristics of a PV array. The fitting method has been tested on several solar panel characteristics provided by the manufacturer for different radiation levels at standard temperature and different cell templeratures at standard radiation.

Network-Enabled Intelligent Photovoltaic Arrays

2009
Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays are currently fairly simple devices. In this paper we consider the architecture of a new family of intelligent PV arrays which are created by embedding a secure processor based on mobile phone technology together with a trusted platform which supports strong authentication.
