Nanoparticle–polymer photovoltaic cells

Advances in Colloid and Interface Science, 2008
The need to develop and deploy large-scale, cost-effective, renewable energy is becoming increasingly important. In recent years photovoltaic (PV) cells based on nanoparticles blended with semiconducting polymers have achieved good power conversion efficiencies (PCE).

Solar Cells (Photovoltaic Cells)

2021
The sun releases a vast amount of energy into the solar system. The temperature at the surface of the sun is approximately 5800 K. At a point just outside the earth’s atmosphere the solar flux is about 1353 W/m2. Almost all renewable energy sources with exception to radiative and nuclear energy sources, have their energy from the sun.

Tandem Photovoltaic Cells with Amorphous Silicon Cells and Organic Photovoltaic Cells

MRS Proceedings, 2011
ABSTRACTWe demonstrate series-connected tandem photovoltaic cells consisting of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) solar cells and polymer-based organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells. One of the limiting factors of a-Si:H solar cells is their narrow absorption spectrum as compared with that of crystalline silicon solar cells.

Aging of the photovoltaic solar cells

2010 27th International Conference on Microelectronics Proceedings, 2010
Though proved to be relatively stable under ordinary working conditions, solar systems are prone to the effects of aging, which could deteriorate their characteristics. The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of aging on the main characteristics of solar cells.
