Most current emphasis is on GaInAs alloys or GaSb for thermal photovoltaic converters operating in a band gap range between about 0.50 to 0.75 eV. In this paper the growth and fabrication of GaInAs devices with nominal band gaps of 0.6 eV are described.

Thermoradiative–Photovoltaic Cells
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 2019A novel model of the hybrid cells consisting of a thermoradiative (TR) cell and a photovoltaic (PV) cell is conceptually proposed, where the TR and PV cells are coupled via far-field thermal emission. Analytical formulas for the power output density and efficiency of the hybrid cells are derived.

ELECTROSPUN PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS
Journal of Macromolecular Science, Part A, 2002Electrospinning is a simple technique to form high surface area membranes using large static electric potentials. An application, taking advantage of such a high surface area, is a dye-sensitized photovoltaic cell, wherein a chromophore molecule absorbs light before being oxidized to generate a photocurrent.

In order to improve the performance of solar energy systems, accurate modeling of current versus voltage (I–V) characteristics of solar cells has attracted the attention of various researches. The main drawback in accurate modeling is the lack of information about the precise parameter values which indeed characterize the solar cell.
