Isolation of chemical constituents from Nonomuraea species: In vitro and in silico evaluation of its antibacterial properties

open access: yesBeni-Suef University Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 2017
An actinomycetes strain VAS16 was isolated from the soil collected from the agricultural field of Vengodu. The strain was identified as Nonomuraea species based on morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics along with 16S rRNA gene ...

A Comparative Study of the Influence of Water and Temperature on the Racemization of Five‐ and Six‐Membered l‐Alanine‐Derived Imides

open access: yesChirality, Volume 38, Issue 8, August 2026.
Racemization of chiral imides in dimethylformamide is shown to increase with increasing water content and temperature. The six‐membered imide ring system is more stable than the five‐membered analogue, with slower racemization under identical conditions and an absence of competing side reactions.

Synthesis and Characterization of 1,3- Oxazepine and Benz [ 1,2-e][1,3] Oxazepine-4,7-Diones

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
N- Benzylidene m-nitrobenzeneamines     ( Schiff     bases )  were prepared by condensation of m-nitroaniline with aromatic aldehydes . These Schiff bases were  found to react with maleic anhydride to give 2-Aryl-3-( m-nitrophenyl )-2,3- dihydro (

Fluorinated Aminopiperidones as Non‐Glutarimide Thalidomide Analogs: Stereodivergent Synthesis and Validation

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 13, 14 July 2026.
Fluorinated aminopiperidones, designed as non‐glutarimide thalidomide analogs, were synthesized with full regio‐ and stereocontrol. The C*–CF3 used as carbonyl surrogate improved solubility and membrane interactions while abolishing cereblon binding.

Active and Versatile ROP Aluminum Catalysts for the Controlled Limonene Oxide Polymerization and Copolymerization With Anhydrides

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 13, 14 July 2026.
Highly active aluminum catalysts for the ring‐opening copolymerization of LO and PA able to produce syndiotactic alternating copolyester within 3 h are presented. The role of DMAP as cocatalysts for the copolymerization is key and is involved in the opening of the anhydride, however, it blocks the catalytic activity for the LO ROP.
