Subgenome Dominance in Allotetraploid Actinidia valvata Regulates RNA m6A Modification for Waterlogging Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The waterlogging tolerance of allotetraploid Actinidia valvata is inherited from one of its diploid progenitors, which leads to subgenome expression dominance, mediated by complex mechanisms including altered chromatin accessibility and DNA methylation.

Covalent Organic Frameworks‐Delivered Reuterin Drives Trained Immunity in Tumor‐Associated Macrophages to Enhance Melanoma Immunotherapy via Glycerophospholipid Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Covalent organic framework (COF)‐reuterin induces trained immunity in tumor‐associated macrophages, promoting the generation of nitric oxide and reactive oxygen species, thereby enhancing the antitumor immune response. Additionally, COF‐Reuterin directly kills tumor cells while simultaneously eradicating pathogenic intratumoural bacteria.

Phylogenetic Relationships of Mesozoic Turtles

open access: yesBulletin of the Peabody Museum of Natural History, 2007
Abstract Presented herein is the first morphological analysis of turtle relationships to examine the monophyly of many turtle groups by using only single species as terminals and by integrating a large number of primitive fossil taxa. The data matrix consists of 136 osteological parsimony informative characters with 169 derived character states for 45 ...

GmSop20 Functions as a Key Coordinator of the Oil‐To‐Protein Ratio in Soybean Seeds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the seed oil‐to‐protein ratio as a comprehensive quality metric and identifies GmSop20 as a crucial regulatory gene through forward genetics methodologies. By integrating GmSop20 with superior haplotypes and using gene editing/overexpression, new strategies are provided for precisely tuning the seed oil‐to‐protein ratio, thereby

Subgenome Partitioning and Polyploid Genome Evolution in the Loach Family Botiidae (Order Cypriniformes)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates subgenome evolution and polyploidy in Cypriniformes fish, revealing complex phylogenetic relationships and genomic dynamics. By applying advanced subgenome partitioning methods, it uncovers novel insights into transposon activity and gene fractionation.

Manipulating Unisexual–Sexual Reproduction Transition to Engineer Genome‐Reconstructed Polyploids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed an efficient approach to generate genome‐reconstructed polyploids involving unisexual gynogenetic Carassius gibelio, sexual C. auratus, and sexual C. cuvieri. The selected superior clone inherited gynogenesis ability of C. gibelio and herpesvirus resistance of wild C.
