Numerical Cladistic Analysis of Phylogenetic Relationships in Plecoptera

Annals of the Entomological Society of America, 1984
This paper consists of a reassessment of phylogenetic relationships in Plecoptera using Zwick's (1980) character data. The data matrix (22 taxa by 113 characters) was analyzed using the WAGNER option of the PHYLIP computer program. Six equally parsimonious minimum-length Wagner networks are discerned and rooted to form six Wagner trees.

A “Total Evidence” Analysis of the Phylogenetic Relationships among the Photosynthetic Stramenopiles

Cladistics, 2001
Phylogenetic relationships among the nine major autotrophic stramenopile taxa were inferred in a combined analysis of the rbcL, SSU rDNA, partial LSU rRNA, carotenoid, and ultrastructural data sets. The structure of the shortest combined tree is: (Outgroup, ((((Bacillariophyceae, (Pelagophyceae, Dictyochophyceae)),((Phaeophyceae, Xanthophyceae ...

Electrophoretic analysis of Phylogenetic relationships among Australian Carcharhinid Sharks

Australian Journal of Marine and Freshwater Research, 1992
The phylogenetic relationships of 17 species of carcharhinid sharks and four other closely related species were examined by allozyme electrophoresis. Genetic data from 38 loci were used in three different techniques of phylogeny reconstruction (including both phenetic and cladistic methods). The two most instructive trees were produced by using maximum

Phylogenetic relationships in the kumquat (Fortunella) as revealed by isozyme analysis

Scientia Horticulturae, 1994
Abstract Nine isozyme systems were investigated by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis as a means of identifying the six species of Fortunella . By examining the characteristic isoenzymatic patterns, it was found that there was considerable variability between the different species.

Genome-wide analysis of SINA family in plants and their phylogenetic relationships

DNA Sequence, 2008
SINA genes in plants are part of a multigene family with 5 members in Arabidopsis thaliana, 10 members in Populus trichocarpa, 6 members in Oryza sativa, at least 6 members in Zea mays and at least 1 member in Physcomitrella patens. Six members in maize were confirmed by RT-PCR. All SINAs have one RING domain and one SINA domain.

An Analysis of the Phylogenetic Relationships of Fifteen Taxa of Family Amoebidae

Archiv für Protistenkunde, 1994
Summary Phylogenetic relationships were determined for 15 taxa representing 4 genera of family Amoebidae. Focusing on 191 isozymic, morphological, physiological and ecological characters, it is established that these genera constitute a monophyletic group.

Analysis of phylogenetic relationships among diploid Triticeae grasses [PDF]

open access: possible, 2016
The grass tribe Triticeae consists of about 360 species and several subspecies in approximately 20-30 genera. The tribe harbours the important cereals bread wheat (Triticum aestivum), barley (Hordeum vulgare), rye (Secale cereale), and their wild relatives.

Analysis of Phylogenetic Relationships Among Twelve Yeast Species.

Sheng wu hua xue yu sheng wu wu li xue bao Acta biochimica et biophysica Sinica
Partial sequences of 25 S ribosomal DNA for nine Candida yeast and one Kluyveromyces yeast strains were cloned and determined. We compared them with two published 25 S rDNA sequences of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida albicans. An evolutionary tree of the twelve species was inferred from about 370 sites of 5' end of 25 S ribosomal DNA using the ...
