Physical Mechanisms and Properties of Tornadoes
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics, 2019Many well-known types of tornado (e.g., atmospheric (air), electric, fire, dust, liquid (water), and snow) are classified according to their substrates and shapes. Known tornado theories are also given. In this work, a model of a tornado is proposed in which it is a structure that arises in the active medium of a thundercloud, where concave spiral ...

Acrylic bone cements: mechanical and physical properties
Orthopedic Clinics of North America, 2005Mechanical and physical properties are of particular significance for the performance of acrylic bone cement. Several mechanical test methods are described in the literature to characterize the mechanical performance of bone cements. The simulation of the in vivo situation is extremely difficult, however, because of the complex mechanism of loading in ...

Mechanical and Physical Properties of Dentine-Glass Composites
Key Engineering Materials, 2016Hydroxyapatite (HA) is one of the most widely used bioceramics to reconstruct most parts of the skeleton. HA biomaterials are nontoxic and biocompatible with bony tissues. It can be derived from natural sources like bovine bone and other original sources. Also it can be produced synthetically from reagent materials.

Physical and mechanical properties of elastomers in orthodontic positioners
American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 1989Elastomers for conventional Kesling-type tooth positioners are relatively inelastic and are primarily indicated as finishing devices. However, new materials, first described in the Japanese literature, with claims of a greater range of tooth movement warrant a comparison with conventional materials.

Physical and mechanical properties of soybean
2020The physical and mechanical properties of soybean were determined at 8 to 16% moisture content. In this moisture range, grain length, width, thickness, arithmetic average diameter and geometric average diameter increased from 7.24 to 8.19, 6.79-7.12, 5.78-6.23, 6.60-7.18, 6.57-7.14 mm, respectively.
