An Improved Vicarious Calibration Method Based on Multi-Grayscale Targets

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Vicarious calibration is a well-developed method for electro-optical (EO) sensor calibration that has been used since the early 1980s. The radiometric calibration of reflectance solar band is mainly applied to reflection inversion.

Formulation and Evaluation of Amikacin Sulfate Loaded Dextran Nanoparticles against Human Pathogenic Bacteria

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2023
Amikacin sulfate-loaded dextran sulfate sodium nanoparticles were formulated, lyophilized (LADNP), and then analyzed. The LADNP had a −20.9 ± 8.35 mV zeta potential, PDI of 0.256, and % PDI of 67.7. The zeta average nano size of LADNP was 317.9 z.

Physical characterization of incense aerosols [PDF]

open access: yesScience of The Total Environment, 1996
Experiments were performed to study the physical characteristics of smoke aerosols generated by burning three types of stick incense in a 4 m3 clean room. Sidestream cigarette smoke was also examined under the same conditions to provide a comparison. Among the parameters measured were (a) masses of aerosol, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides generated

Image characterization and classification by physical complexity [PDF]

open access: yesComplexity, 2011
AbstractWe present a method for estimating the complexity of an image based on Bennett's concept of logical depth. Bennett identified logical depth as the appropriate measure of organized complexity, and hence as being better suited to the evaluation of the complexity of objects in the physical world. Its use results in a different, and in some sense a

Physical Characterization of Arbiter PUFs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
As intended by its name, Physically Unclonable Functions PUFs are considered as an ultimate solution to deal with insecure storage, hardware counterfeiting, and many other security problems. However, many different successful attacks have already revealed vulnerabilities of certain digital intrinsic PUFs.
