Physical Fitness of Cleaners in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Padjadjaran, November 2012

open access: yesAlthea Medical Journal, 2015
Background: Cleaning is an occupation that is carried out worldwide in many different environments. Cleaning workers (cleaners) often have low occupational skills and belong to the less advantaged educational and socioeconomic groups. Because of the high

Cognitive endurance after intense physical effort

open access: yesBehavioural Brain Research
Previous research has primarily examined the effects of cognitive exertion on subsequent physical performance, yet the reciprocal relationship—how intense physical exercise influences cognitive endurance—remains largely unexplored. This study investigated the behavioral, subjective, and neurophysiological effects of maximal aerobic effort on sustained ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

An assimilation of TRIZ in dissecting the statistical outcomes of tactile sensitivity, pinch force and endurance among elderly people

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2021
This study aims to examine tactile sensitivity effects on the pinch force and endurance of elderly people, and propose solutions extending from the statistical outcomes using the theory of inventive problem-solving (TRIZ).

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Decoding the dynamic extracellular matrix in cancer—3D models and bioscaffolds rewire the rules of tumor progression

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.
