Optimization of the power and control parameters of hvac systems in condition of the unsteady duties/Šildymo, vėdinimo ir oro kondicionavimo sistemų galios ir valdymo parametrų optimizavimas nestacionaraus režimo sąlygomis

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 1998
Kaip žinia, pagrindinis šildymo, vėdinimo ir oro kondicionavimo sistemų—mikroklimato kondicionavimo sistemų (MKS)—specialistų uždavinys yra reikiamų mikroklimato parametrų užtikrinimas patalpos darbo zonoje minimaliomis materialinėmis ir energetinėmis ...

The first journal in exact sciences "Vestnik matematiėeskich nauk"

open access: yesKnygotyra
The content, structure, and history of the first periodic journal of exact sciences in Russia, published by astronomer Matvei Gusev (1826-1866) in Vilnius from 1860 to 1863, are considered. The first volume contained 25 issues (198 pages) and the second

WHITEHEAD´S IDEAS WITHIN SOME ROMANIAN JURIDICAL THINKERS [PDF]

open access: yesChallenges of the Knowledge Society, 2018
Alfred North Whitehead (1861 – 1947) was a mathematician, logician and English philosopher, being the most important representative of the philosophical school of thought known as "process philosophy," which today has found application to a wide ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The role and implications of mammalian cellular circadian entrainment

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At their most fundamental level, mammalian circadian rhythms occur inside every individual cell. To tell the correct time, cells must align (or ‘entrain’) their circadian rhythm to the external environment. In this review, we highlight how cells entrain to the major circadian cues of light, feeding and temperature, and the implications this has for our

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.
