Collisionless distribution function for the relativistic force-free Harris sheet [PDF]
A self-consistent collisionless distribution function for the relativistic analogue of the force-free Harris sheet is presented. This distribution function is the relativistic generalization of the distribution function for the non-relativistic ...

Three sets of strength data were selected, including hydrostatic pressure independent within the brittle region (HPI‐B), hydrostatic pressure dependent within the brittle region (HPD‐B), and hydrostatic pressure dependent within the brittle–ductile region (HPD‐BD). For HPI type, the failure envelope within the deviatoric plane remains constant.

Abstract As tunnel construction advances in lengths and depths, the construction of tunnels in high geothermal environments has become increasingly common, raising significant fire risks. In this study, a 1:20 scale model tunnel test platform was constructed to investigate the effects of a high geothermal environment on fire behavior in tunnels during ...

This study highlights that with the static and time‐dependent evolution of slip versus dilation tendency parameter space, structurally controlled deep geothermal systems can be selected within areas of higher permeability and lower seismic hazard. Abstract Faults play a vital role in the Earth's hydraulic system by facilitating fluid flow when dilating

Revision of the age and stratigraphic relationships of Hinemaiaia Tephra and Whakatane Ash, North Island, New Zealand, using distal occurrences in organic deposits [PDF]
The stratigraphic and chronologic relationships of Hinemaiaia Tephra and Whakatane Ash are examined using distal tephras preserved in organic-rich deposits at five sites in eastern and northern North Island, New Zealand. A c.
