Amino acid‐vectorized salicylic acid activates PR1/NPR1‐dependent defenses without phytotoxicity, showing an efficient strategy for controlled delivery and enhanced plant immunity. Abstract BACKGROUND Addressing global food security under rapid population growth and climate change requires sustainable strategies to protect crops from pathogens while ...

Phytohormone profiling in an evolutionary framework
The genomes of charophyte green algae, close relatives of land plants, typically do not show signs of developmental regulation by phytohormones. However, scattered reports of endogenous phytohormone production in these organisms exist.

Soybean induced resistance to Spodoptera eridania herbivory
SOD, CAT, APX, PPO, KTI, and MDA levels were higher in the resistant soybean. S. eridania herbivory increased H2O2 and MDA, but decreased SOD and PPO levels. S. eridania herbivory increased KTI activity only in the resistant variety. Isoquercitrin and daidzin were exclusive to resistant and susceptible soybeans.

NADP-Dependent Malic Enzyme 1 Participates in the Abscisic Acid Response in Arabidopsis thaliana
Arabidopsis thaliana possesses three cytosolic (NADP-ME1-3) and one plastidic (NADP-ME4) NADP-dependent malic enzymes. NADP-ME2 and -ME4 show constitutive expression, in contrast to NADP-ME1 and -ME3, which are restricted to particular tissues.

Light‐emitting diode (LED)‐based treatments for enhancing crop production and pest management have primarily focused on continuous treatments. This study, using Tetranychus urticae and Phytoseiulus persimilis, demonstrates that the timing of LED supplementation is crucial for designing integrated pest management strategies that improve both plant ...

Unravelling the nanoparticle-mediated regulation of phytohormone biosynthesis and signalling
Nanoparticles (NPs) have emerged as key plant growth and development regulators that influence various physiological and biochemical processes, including hormone regulation, stress response, and antioxidant defense. Similarly, phytohormones are essential

Network analysis of functional genes among prokaryotes, and eukaryotes in natural and artificial rivers. Abstract Periphyton in aquatic ecosystems plays vital roles in the elemental cycle process and is vulnerable to anthropogenic interference. However, few studies have explored the elemental cycles of carbon (C), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and ...

Phytohormone effect on seedling quality in Hungarian oak
Aim of study: to find out the effects of four phytohormones, including Indole Butyric Acid (IBA), Indole Acetic Acid (IAA), and Gibberellic acids (GA3, GA4) on seedling growth of Hungarian oak which has a natural distribution in the northwestern of ...

This study reveals how long‐term activation of jasmonic and salicylic acid signalling reshapes arthropod communities and plant fitness across seasons. By showing that induced defences generate contrasting outcomes and cascading trade‐offs across trophic levels, it challenges the assumption that induced resistance is uniformly beneficial in natural ...
