Ruthenium piano-stool complexes bearing imidazole-based PN ligands [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2012
A variety of piano-stool complexes of cyclopentadienyl ruthenium(II) with imidazole-based PN ligands have been synthesized starting from the precursor complexes CpRu(C10H8)]PF6, CpRu(NCMe)(3)]PF6 and CpRu(PPh3)(2)Cl]. PN ligands used are imidazol-2-yl, -4-yl and -5-yl phosphines.

DNA Noncovalent Interactions of Dinuclear η6-Arene Ru(II) Complexes: Influence of Complex Charge and Bridging Ligand Length on DNA Binding Mode and Cytotoxic Activity. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry
A library of cationic dinuclear Ru(II)‐η⁶‐arene analogues was developed to assess how overall charge and Ru–Ru distance influence DNA binding noncovalent interactions and cytotoxicity. NMR studies showed multiple binding modes with the B‐form DNA oligonucleotide d(5΄‐CGCGAATTCGCG‐3΄)2, while the complexes displayed micromolar IC50 values against MCF‐7,

Piano‐stool dinuclear ruthenium (II) complexes of pyrazine‐carboxylate/carboxamide ligands: Structural studies and catalytic transfer hydrogenation of ketones

open access: yesApplied organometallic chemistry, 2023
Reactions of ligand pyrazine‐2‐carboxylic acid (HL1) with [Ru(η6‐p‐cymene)Cl2]2 precursor gave the dinuclear piano‐stool ruthenium (II) complex [{Ru(η6‐p‐cymene)Cl2}‐μ‐(L1)‐{Ru(p‐cymene)Cl}] (Ru1).

Exploring Rhenium Arene Piano-Stool Chemistry with [Re(η6-C6H6)(NCCH3)3]+: A Powerful Semi-Solvated Precursor

open access: yesInorganic Chemistry, 2023
Thermal treatment of the ReIII hydride complex [ReH(η5-C6H7)(η6-C6H6)]+ in CH3CN results in the formation of [Re(η6-C6H6)(NCCH3)3]+. This semi-solvated complex is remarkably stable under an ambient atmosphere and exhibits a fast CH3CN self-exchange ...

Dicarbonyl(η5-cyclopentadienyl)bis(trimethylphosphine)molybdenum(II) trifluoromethanesulfonate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2008
In the title compound, [Mo(C5H5)(CO)2(C3H9P)2]CF3SO3, the cationic complex displays a classical four-legged piano-stool square-pyramidal geometry with a trans configuration of the basal ligands around the Mo atom.

Designing organometallic compounds for catalysis and therapy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Bioorganometallic chemistry is a rapidly developing area of research. In recent years organometallic compounds have provided a rich platform for the design of effective catalysts, e.g. for olefin metathesis and transfer hydrogenation.

Dichlorido(η6-p-cymene)(ethoxydiphenylphosphane)ruthenium(II)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2012
The title compound, [RuCl2(C10H14)(C14H15OP)], is an RuII complex in which an η6-p-cymene ligand, two chloride anions and the P atom of an ethoxydiphenylphosphane ligand form a piano-stool coordination environment about the central RuII atom.

Anti-colorectal cancer activity of an organometallic osmium arene azopyridine complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This first in vivo antitumour activity for an organometallic osmium arene complex, [Os(eta(6)-p-cym)(4-(2-pyridylazo)-N,N-dimethylaniline)I]PF(6), is reported. The complex delays the growth of HCT116 human colon cancer xenografts in mice, with negligible

Crystal structure of azido(η5-cyclopentadienyl)bis(triphenylphosphane-κP)ruthenium(II) dichloromethane hemisolvate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2014
The title solvated complex, [Ru(η5-C5H5)(N3){P(C6H5)3}2]·0.5CH2Cl2, displays a typical piano-stool geometry about the RuII atom. The bond lengths and angles of the cyclopentadienyl and phosphane ligands are very similar to that of the unsolvated complex [

Piano Stool Aminoalkylidene‐Ferracyclopentenone Complexes from Bimetallic Precursors: Synthesis and Cytotoxicity Data [PDF]

open access: yesChemPlusChem, 2019
AbstractThe reaction of pyrrolidine with a series of cationic diiron cyclopentadienyl complexes containing a bridging vinyliminium ligand gives access to piano stool monoiron complexes based on a five‐membered metallacycle that includes a vinyl‐aminoalkylidene moiety, in moderate to high yields.
