Distinguishing root- and stem-wood of Picea Abies
IAWA Journal, 2011In archaeology, palaeobotany and dendrochronology, it can be important to distinguish between root- and stem-wood. Although numerous studies have described the root-wood of various species in great detail, there is, as yet, no quick and generally accepted wood anatomy-based method to distinguish Norway spruce root- from stem-wood.

Rhizina undulata on Picea abies transplants
Forest Pathology, 1977At least three quarters of the sites of brash fires in a mainly coniferous area on peat in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland were clonised by Rhizina undulata. On each of these sites an average of eight newly planted Picea abies died within five years. No more deaths were recorded during a further three years.

Fertility and viability of Picea abies (L.) Karst. pollen in the arboretum of the Donetsk Botanical Gardens were studied. In the low cone year (2004) for P. abies its pollen fertility made up 63% and its viability made up 56%. Various trees showed significant individual variability of the given indices. The length of the pollen tubes from various trees

Norway Spruce (Picea abies (L.) H.Karst.)
2013Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) is one of the most important coniferous species in Europe both from an economic and ecological point of view. Solid wood products and pulp and paper products have the largest economic value. The patterns of variation observed in Norway spruce provenance trials show geographic variability on a large scale. Genetic

Norway Spruce Picea abies (L.) Karst
2018The increasing use of wood as a source of bioenergy, bio-products and conservation of more natural (old) forests with high biodiversity, compel us to find means to increase forest productivity. Using the best quality regeneration material can increase the economic gain obtained from future silvicultured forests.

Izolacija protoplasta iz pupova Picea abies
1986O izolaciji protoplasta četinjača nije objavljeno mnogo radova.
