Applying an Improving Strategy that embeds Functional and Non-Functional Requirements Concepts

open access: yesJournal of Computer Science and Technology, 2019
Organizations should set and reach business goals for varied purposes using the suitable strategies. Basically, a strategy specifies the activities, methods and another related resources that should be considered in order to achieve a given goal purpose.

PICO-60 Results and PICO-40L Status

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Abstract PICO-60 and PICO-40L are bubble chambers for dark matter searches that are using C3F8 as active liquid. PICO-60 was operated successfully at SNOLAB until 2017 and PICO-40L is now operating in the same location. PICO-40L follows a new detector concept that holds promise for future increases of sensitivity.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Diagnostic and Prognostic Value of Hyperammonemia in Patients with Liver Cirrhosis, Hepatic Encephalopathy, and Sarcopenia (Experts’ Agreement)

open access: yesРоссийский журнал гастроэнтерологии, гепатологии, колопроктологии
Introduction. In cirrhotic patients, hyperammonemia develops due to impaired ammonia detoxification and portosystemic blood shunting and is most commonly associated with hepatic encephalopathy and sarcopenia.

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Correction of Thrombocytopenia before Elective Surgery / Invasive Procedures in Patients with Liver Cirrhosis (Experts’ Agreement)

open access: yesРоссийский журнал гастроэнтерологии, гепатологии, колопроктологии
Introduction. As a result of portal hypertension (sequestration of platelets in an enlarged spleen) and liver failure (decreased production of thrombopoietin in the liver) in liver cirrhosis, thrombocytopenia develops, which is associated with the risk ...
