Microdroplet Stabilization Enabled Direct Mass Spectrometric Identification of Electrogenerated Transient Carbocation Intermediates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
The in situ mass spectrometric identification of the electrogenerated benzylic and phenylic carbocations, whose half‐lives in bulk solutions are on the nanosecond scale, is achieved by taking advantage of the unique stabilization effect of the electrosprayed microdroplets.

The separations of picoline isomers by enclathration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The chemical and physical properties of isomers make them difficult to separate using conventional methods. This renders the separation of isomers one of the more challenging obstacles in chemistry.

Solution‐Processable, Ladder‐Branched Polyimides of Intrinsic Microporosity by [4+4] Cycloaddition for Membrane Gas Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 4, 16 January 2026.
An effective post‐synthetic modification strategy utilizing [4+4] cycloaddition is demonstrated to fabricate ladder‐branched polyimides of intrinsic microporosity (PIM‐PIs) with significantly enhanced performance characteristics for membrane‐based gas separation.

Grave to Cradle: A Direct Recycling Approach for Over‐Discharged LiFePO4 Electric Vehicle Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
The change in the LiFePO4 (LFP) material from grave to cradle. The material is delaminated with water, before undergoing ball milling and a relithiation‐carbothermal treatment. The final step shows the fully healed LFP remanufactured as a new cathode. The purple represents LiFePO4, the light purple FePO4, black, and dark grey—the graphite and carbons ...

A Masked Low‐Coordinate and Polarized Au(I)/Pt(0) Complex for Cooperative CX and CH Bond Activation of Pyridines

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 1, January 2026.
A polarized Au(I)/Pt(0) complex with only two phosphines unlocks cooperative reactivity that is inaccessible for previous Au/Pt saturated systems. Selective CX activation of halopyridines occurs via Pt‐centered oxidative addition, while CH activation of pyridine‐N‐oxide involves a synergistic bimetallic pathway leading to a unique carbene structure ...

Latent nucleophiles in organic synthesis: advancing the concept towards synthetic applications [PDF]

open access: yes
The most common problem in enantioselective Lewis base catalyzed reactions is the typically narrow scope for the nucleophilic reaction partner. It was hypothesized that this problem can be addressed using latent nucleophiles, derivatives of otherwise ...

Late‐Stage Conversion of Terminal Alkynes to Nitriles in Nucleoside Scaffolds: A Tool for Diversification

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 14, Issue 12, December 2025.
We established a metal‐free, late‐stage diversification of terminal alkynes into nitriles using tert‐butyl nitrite (tBuONO). Replacing 2‐picoline N‐oxide with N‐methylmorpholine N‐oxide (NMO) as the oxidant enabled efficient nitrile formation under mild conditions. Abstract The small nucleoside molecule LJ‐4827 exhibited potent kinase inhibition and in

Temperature dependent study of thermophysical properties of binary mixtures of 1,4-butanediol + picolines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The experimental values of densities (r) and speeds of sound (u) of (1,4-butanediol + α-, orβ- picoline) binary mixtures have been used to calculate the internal pressure (πi), free volume (Vf), enthalpy (H), entropy (Ts), excess internal pressure (πiE),

The Halogen Bond [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The halogen bond occurs when there is evidence of a net attractive interaction between an electrophilic region associated with a halogen atom in a molecular entity and a nucleophilic region in another, or the same, molecular entity.
