Lyrical Code-Switching, Multimodal Intertextuality, and Identity in Popular Music
Augmenting the author’s prior research on lyrical code-switching, as presented in Picone, “Artistic Codemixing”, published in 2002, various conceptual frameworks are made explicit, namely the enlistment of multimodal and intertextual approaches for their

Positive solutions for nonvariational Robin problems
We study a nonlinear Robin problem driven by the $p$-Laplacian and with a reaction term depending on the gradient (the convection term). Using the theory of nonlinear operators of monotone-type and the asymptotic analysis of a suitable perturbation of ...

Abstract Thermospheric neutral density controls satellite drag in low Earth orbit and varies strongly during geomagnetic storms. We present a multi‐mission, phase‐resolved assessment of empirical and physics‐based thermosphere models using 151 storms from 2001 to 2023, including MSIS, DTM, JB2008, WAM‐IPE, WACCM‐X, GITM, CTIPe, and TIE‐GCM.

Local scale invariance as dynamical space-time symmetry in phase-ordering kinetics
The scaling of the spatio-temporal response of coarsening systems is studied through simulations of the 2D and 3D Ising model with Glauber dynamics. The scaling functions agree with the prediction of local scale invariance, extending dynamical scaling to

Satellite Reentry Predictions During Sudden Stratospheric Warmings
Abstract Prediction of uncontrolled satellite reentry time and trajectory are essential to avoid damages to human being and properties over land. Reentry time and trajectory are largely controlled by aerodynamic drag and mass neutral density below 200 km.

Shopping malls as pseudo-public spaces. The shopping mall as an emergent public space in Palermo [PDF]
Much has been written on the role of public space in contemporary societies, and many scholars agree that public space today is a controversial and arguably critical concept.

Emerging Strategies in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pleural Mesothelioma: An Overview
This review examines pleural mesothelioma, from risk factors and pathogenesis to diagnostic approaches and histological classification. We discuss current treatment strategies including chemotherapy and FDA‐approved immunotherapy, alongside emerging therapies such as VISTA, LAG‐3 inhibitors, and dendritic cell‐based approaches for personalized ...

Eigenvalues of the
We derive oscillation and nonoscillation criteria for the one-dimensional -Laplacian in terms of an eigenvalue inequality for a mixed problem. We generalize the results obtained in the linear case by Nehari and Willett, and the proof is based on a ...

Arianna's Palette: A Diagnostic Study of the Painting Walls of the Domus of Arianna in Pompeii
ABSTRACT The House of Arianna, also known as the House of Colored Capitals, represents, with its 1700 m2 of floor space, one of the most majestic examples of a residence within the Pompeii archaeological site. The research developed within the project “Cultural Heritage Active Innovation for Sustainable Society—CHANGES” reports the outcomes of the ...

Two-time autocorrelation function in phase-ordering kinetics from local scale-invariance
The time-dependent scaling of the two-time autocorrelation function of spin systems without disorder undergoing phase-ordering kinetics is considered.
