Intensity Noise Dynamics in Terahertz Quantum Cascade Lasers

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Intensity‐noise dynamics in terahertz quantum cascade lasers are investigated across single‐mode, dense‐comb and harmonic‐comb regimes using graphene thermoelectric detectors. Harmonic combs show ∼10% lower relative intensity noise, while RIN scales as P0−γ$P_0^{ - \gamma }$ with γ≈1.2$\gamma \approx 1.2$, revealing a crossover from spontaneous ...

Transient Laser‐Induced Periodic Surface Structures Revealed by Time‐Resolved EUV Diffuse Scattering

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
The study shows that femtosecond laser pulses generate transient, LIPSS‐like surface patterns at fluences far below the damage threshold. Time‐resolved extreme ultraviolet scattering captures reciprocal space features that form within a few picoseconds and vanish on sub‐nanosecond timescales.

Triggering of Koebner Phenomenon by Picosecond Laser in a Psoriatic Patient: Clinical and Immunopathologic Insights

open access: yesLasers in Surgery and Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To report the first case of Koebner phenomenon induced by picosecond laser treatment in a patient with psoriasis. We analyzed the clinical and histopathological features and discussed the possible mechanism by which the laser's photomechanical effect triggered the reaction.

Efficacy and Safety of Small‐Spot 755 nm Picosecond Laser‐Induced Optical Breakdown for Novel Photomechanical Skin Ablation in Asian Patients

open access: yesLasers in Surgery and Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Conventional ablative and photothermal lasers are commonly used to treat superficial pigmentary lesions but often induce thermal injury and post‐inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), particularly in Asian skin. Picosecond 755‐nm alexandrite lasers with diffractive lens arrays (DLA) create laser‐induced optical breakdown (LIOB ...
