ON THE LASOTA-WAZEWSKA MODEL WITH PIECEWISE CONSTANT ARGUMENT

Acta Mathematica Scientia, 2006
Abstract In this article, a delay differential equation with piecewise constant argument is considered; the existence and global attractivity condition of almost periodic solution and quasi-periodic solution are obtained.

On the Differential Equations with Piecewise Constant Argument

Journal of Dynamical and Control Systems, 2022
The aim of this paper is to study some class of pseudo \(\mathcal{S}\)-asymptotically \(\omega\)-periodic functions. The authors prove the composition theorem that will be used to prove the existence of \(f\) pseudo \(\mathcal{S}\)-asymptotically \(\omega\)-periodic solution for some differential equations with piecewise constant argument.

STABILITY AND BIFURCATION IN A LOGISTIC EQUATION WITH PIECEWISE CONSTANT ARGUMENTS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2009
A logistic equation with piecewise constant arguments is investigated. Firstly, the linear stability of the model is studied. It is found that there exists a Hopf bifurcation when the parameter passes a critical value. Then the explicit algorithm for determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic ...

Impulsive Hopfield-type neural network system with piecewise constant argument

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis: Real World Applications, 2010
In this paper we introduce an impulsive Hopfield-type neural network system with piecewise constant argument of generalized type. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the unique equilibrium are obtained.

Oscillations Of Equations With Piecewise Constant Arguments

1991
Abstract As we shall see, within intervals of certain length, each of the above equations has the structure of a continuous dynamical system, while the continuity of the solution at the points that join consecutive intervals leads to difference equations.

An Argument in Favor of Piecewise-Constant Membership Functions

2023
Theoretically, we can have membership functions of arbitrary shape. However, in practice, at any given moment of time, we can only represent finitely many parameters in a computer. As a result, we usually restrict ourselves to finite-parametric families of membership functions.
