Almost periodic solutions of second-order neutral delay–differential equations with piecewise constant arguments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper, we present an existence theorem of almost periodic solutions of second-order neutral delay–differential equations with piecewise constant arguments of the form (x(t)+x(t−1))″=qx([t])+f(t), where [·] denotes the greatest integer function, q

Nonreciprocal Swarmalators With Reconfigurable and Controllable Formations for Robot Collectives

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Nonreciprocal swarmalator interactions are enabled through control barrier functions to transform self‐organizing robot collectives into reconfigurable, constraint‐aware systems. Complex two‐ and three‐dimensional shapes, continuous morphing, obstacle‐aware navigation, collective splitting, and object transport emerge from modulating agent‐level ...

Existence of Periodic Solutions in a Discrete Predator-Prey System with Beddington-DeAngelis Functional Responses

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2011
A discrete predator-prey model with Holling II and Beddington-DeAngelis functional responses is investigated. With the aid of differential equations with piecewise constant arguments, a discrete version of continuous nonautonomous delayed predator-prey ...

Physics‐Embedded Neural Network: A Novel Approach to Design Polymeric Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Traditional black‐box models for polymer mechanics rely solely on data and lack physical interpretability. This work presents a physics‐embedded neural network (PENN) that integrates constitutive equations into machine learning. The approach ensures reliable stress predictions, provides interpretable parameters, and enables performance‐driven, inverse ...

Some properties of solutions of α-conformable differential equations with piecewise constant arguments: existence and uniqueness, asymptotic stability, oscillation and periodicity

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis
Conformable differential equations, based on the recently introduced conformable derivative, represent a novel and increasingly popular class of differential equations.

Neimark–Sacker bifurcation of a chemotherapy treatment of glioblastoma multiform (GBM)

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
In this paper, we propose a system of differential equations with piecewise constant arguments to describe the growth of GBM under chemotherapeutic treatment and the interaction among the glial cells, the cancer cells, and the chemotherapeutic agents. In

A Closed‐Loop Framework for Inverse Design: Dynamic Training and Intelligent Optimization for Heterostructured Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To accelerate the inverse design of heterostructured metal matrix composites, a closed‐loop scientific machine learning framework integrates continual learning prediction with NSGA‐II‐PMCP optimization. The framework maps microstructural descriptors to strength, toughness, and modulus, expands high‐quality Pareto solutions, and guides experimentally ...

Computation and Structure‐Guided Arginine Scanning Engineers a Hyperactive AP Endonuclease for Multiplex Viral RNA Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Computational and structure‐guided arginine scanning rewires the DNA‐binding interface of APE1 to create APE1‐Evo, a hyperactive yet specific AP endonuclease. Integrated into the NAPTUNE‐V2.0 cascade, APE1‐Evo enables amplification‐free, multiplex viral RNA sensing for dengue virus and influenza A/B, highlighting a general strategy for engineering ...

Global asymptotic stability beyond 3/2 type stability for a logistic equation with piecewise constant arguments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, a logistic equation with multiple piecewise constant arguments is investigated in detail. We generalize the approach in two papers, [K. Uesugi, Y. Muroya, E.

Stochastic Entanglement of Deterministic Origami Tentacles For Robust Robotic Grasping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces an origami tentacle gripper to robustly grasp objects‐in air, underwater, and even in orbital space‐by exploiting a synergy between local, deterministic deformation programming and global, stochastic entanglements. A single origami tentacle can be designed to coil with a simple tendon pull.
