Nuclear magnetic resonance investigation of the heavy fermion system Ce$_2$CoAl$_7$Ge$_4$

open access: yes, 2017
We present nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) measurements performed on single crystalline \ccag{}, a member of a recently discovered family of heavy fermion materials Ce$_2M$Al$_7$Ge$_4$ ($M$ = Co, Ir, Ni, or Pd ...

Molecular Landscape in Limb Anomalies: Diagnostic Yield and New Candidate Genes

open access: yesClinical Genetics, Volume 109, Issue 3, Page 424-436, March 2026.
In 132 individuals with limb anomalies, diagnostic yield was 36% (47/132), including 25 novel variants, three cases with new phenotypes, and two candidate loci, HOXA11 and a small 2q31.1 deletion. Mouse data and exome‐wide analysis, key in identifying the candidate loci, represent an important opportunity for gene discovery.

Beyond species means – the intraspecific contribution to global wood density variation

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 249, Issue 6, Page 2630-2651, March 2026.
Summary Wood density is central for estimating vegetation carbon storage and a plant functional trait of great ecological and evolutionary importance. However, the global extent of wood density variation is unclear, especially at the intraspecific level. We assembled the most comprehensive wood density collection to date, including 109 626 records from

Life‐Cycle and Generational Influences on Chinese Political Behavior and Attitudes: Age Matters, and so Does Context

open access: yesSocial Science Quarterly, Volume 107, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective This article aims to revisit the relative importance of age versus generation in explaining differences of political behavior and attitudes across age cohorts in China, assess the impact of contextual changes affecting multiple age groups, and identify special characteristics of attitudes and behavior of Generation Z. Method Analysis

Airway management in neonates with Pierre Robin sequence

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Pediatrics, 2010
Neonates with Pierre Robin sequence (PRs) suffer from varying degrees of airway obstruction and feeding difficulties, the courses of which differ from patient to patient, due to mandibular deficiency.

General Anesthesia for an Infant With Pyloric Stenosis & Pierre Robin Sequence

open access: yesMedEdPORTAL, 2012
Introduction This problem-based learning (PBL) case contains an unusual association of two conditions. Specifically, it highlights the challenges inherent in safely anesthetizing an uncooperative infant with a potentially difficult airway and full ...

Running real time distributed simulations under Linux and CERTI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents some experiments and some results to enforce real time distributed simulations in accordance with the High Level Architecture (HLA). Simulations were run by using CERTI, an open source middleware, as the Run Time Infrastructure (RTI).
