Multistandard reconfigurable PIFA antenna

In this article, a frequency reconfigurable antenna using the ON/OFF states of a MEMS (micro‐electro‐mechanical system) switch is presented. This structure is based on a planar inverted‐F antenna (PIFA), designed with an L‐shaped open slot etched upon its main plate.

Crumpling of PIFA Textile Antenna

A low-profile monocone antenna by using planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) structure has been reported. In this paper, the characteristics of the monocone antenna with PIFA structure at the high frequencies are analyzed by simulation. As a result, the characteristics of the proposed antenna at the high frequencies are described in detail.

Resonance frequency of implantable antenna is generally detuned towards lower frequency due to the proximity effect of high permittivity human tissue.

Firstly, the development and principle of PIFA antenna in mobile phone are introduced, and the typical PIFA antenna design is analyzed. The PIFA antenna simulation is based on HFSS software. It is found that the high frequency bandwidth of this kind of antenna is very narrow.
