Planar PIFA telematics antennas
Wideband and Multi-Band Antennas and Arrays, 2005This paper describes printed planar versions of the PIFA antenna for multi-band telematics applications on vehicles. The antennas are variations on the planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) principle and may be customized for different mounting positions such as bumpers, window and roof mount.

PIFAS antennas design for mobile communications
International Workshop on Systems, Signal Processing and their Applications, WOSSPA, 2011To answer to the increasing demand of antennas for portable terminals, many works were carried out these last years starting from the shorted-circuit quarter wave antenna more commonly called PIFA (Planar Inverted-F Antenna). These antennas have for principal advantages, their compactness and their weak manufacturing costs, in addition to their ...

Multiband PIFA Antenna for Mobile Handheld Devices
2018 IEEE Indian Conference on Antennas and Propogation (InCAP), 2018A Multiband planar inverted F antenna design is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna has multiband characteristics and resonating at GSM 900 (890–960 MHz), DCS 1800 (1710-1880MHz) and WLAN 2.4GHz bands. These bands are controlled independently without affecting the other bands.

Frequency reconfigurable PIFA antenna driven by microcontroller
2012 Fourth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE), 2012This paper proposes a method of controlling the operation of the frequency reconfigurable planar invert F antenna (FRPIFA antenna) by a microcontroller (MCU). The MCU is integrated onboard with antenna. In order to tune the antenna operating frequency, the operation of PIN diode-electronic switches is done by programs written in memory of this MCU. The

Device-integrated omni-directional PIFA antenna
2015 Asia-Pacific Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC), 2015A device-integrated planar inverted-F antenna is proposed for reception of broadcasting services. The antenna provides an omni-directional coverage on the azimuthal plane. The antenna volume is 60 × 60 × 20 mm3 and is placed at the corner of a 300 × 300 mm2 metal plate. The intended operation band is the 900 MHz ISM band.
