Correlation between reproductive performance and sow body weight change during gestation
This study investigated the correlation between piglet performance and sow body weight change (BWC) during two gestational periods: 35–70, 70–105, and 35–105 days.

A 3D‐printed piezoionic GPMx hydrogel enables stable electromechanical signal generation under mechanical loading, exhibiting long‐term durability and low fatigue. As a bioactive patch, it restores endogenous bioelectricity to stimulate osteogenesis via Ca2+ influx and mitochondrial activation, while simultaneously enabling label‐free alkaline ...

Vocal response of piglets to weaning: effect of piglet age
Piglets vocalize a great deal during the first few days after weaning. The aim of this experiment was to determine if the calls given by piglets vary in response to one factor thought to influence post-weaning adaptation: weaning age. In 22 litters, each containing a minimum of 9 piglets, 3 piglets were weaned under identical conditions at 3, 4 and 5 ...

Self‐assembled, scaffold‐free full‐thickness skin equivalents with monoclonal, genetically modified N/TERT‐1 keratinocytes represent a novel in vitro model of human skin and skin diseases. The model is highly robust, reproducible, physiologically relevant, and suitable for high‐throughput applications.

Our own animately e/motional bodies are yearning for relationships with other bodies of the more-than-human kind. To support this opinion, I describe an intra-action caring for three rescued piglets that led to an awareness of human animal and animal-other relationships.

ESTIMATION OF HERITABILITY AND BREEDING VALUE OF PIGLET BIRTH WEIGHT [PDF]
Piglet birth weight has an economic value and commonly correlated with weaning weigh. Therefore, birth weight traits of piglet needs to be selected for genetic improvement.

Hepatobiliary Ascariasis in a Piglet
Abstract Purpose Ascariasis caused by the helminth Ascaris suum is the most common parasitosis of swine worldwide and it may involve all age categories of pigs. The present study reports an unusual localization of A.suum worms in the biliary system of a piglet slaughtered for human consumption.

We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...
