Combined type of nodular and diffuse forms of pigmented villonodular synovitis in a single knee joint of a child

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2022
There are two types of pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS), nodular and diffuse. Two types generally do not coexist, and only one type usually occurs.

Pigmented villonodular synovitis of the hip

open access: yesEFORT Open Reviews, 2016
Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) is a rare disease that can affect any joint, bursa or tendon sheath. The hip is less frequently affected than the knee, and hence is less discussed in scientific journals. PVNS of the hip mainly occurs in young adults, requiring early diagnosis and adequate treatment to obtain good results.

Single‐Cell Analysis Clarifies Pathological Heterogeneity in Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor and Identifies Biomarkers for Predicting Disease Recurrence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 26, July 10, 2025.
MP3 tumor cells, a specific subpopulation of tumor cells in D‐TGCT, regulated the differentiation of CD34+ Fbs into MMP3+ Fbs and APOE+ Fbs through COL6A3 − (ITGAV + ITGB8) interaction. APOE+ Fbs activated IL‐1B+CCL20+ Mφs through the CXCL12/CXCR4 axis. IL‐1B+CCL20+ Mφs and MMP3+ Fbs participated in the local invasion of D‐TGCT.

Artificial intelligence in rheumatoid arthritis

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 88-100, June 2025.
Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) over the past 5 years have brought significant progress to the medical field, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA). AI integrates multimodal data, including clinical, imaging, omics, and longitudinal information, to enhance RA diagnosis and treatment.

Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis of the Hip Mimicking Soft-Tissue Sarcoma: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery, 2006
Pigmented villonodular synovitis is a rare and benign but potentially locally aggressive disease that should be considered in younger patients who present with monoarticular joint symptoms and pathology.

Novel Clinical Practice Assessments: Informational Statements by the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, Volume 131, Issue 4, Page 712-718, March 15, 2025.
ABSTRACT Musculoskeletal oncology involves rare diseases. As a result, there is a paucity of literature to guide practitioners. Studies are often clinical experience, retrospective reviews, noncomparative studies, and involve small numbers of patients. However, technological advances consistently arise in this field.

Sagittal Inclination Angle of the Graft Affects Graft Maturity and Knee Stability After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 2, Page 427-436, February 2025.
This study addresses the relationship between the sagittal inclination angle (SIA) of the graft and postoperative graft maturity, joint stability, and joint function after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Finally, we found a low SIA is not conducive to graft maturation after ACL reconstruction.
