Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Interaction Influences on Group-Pile Efficiency

New approach to group pile load estimation
Hamderi, Murat/0000-0002-9167-8866WOS:000457560000012Current literature lacks an analytical method for estimating pile load distribution due to the statically indeterminate nature of pile groups.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

New Method for Calculating the Settlement of Single Pile and Pile Group in Soft Soil Area
This paper fits the τ-z curve of a single pile by mathematical methods. Based on the one-dimensional similarity of the τ-z curves, the τ-z curves of single pile under different loads are derived. It studies the distribution of the axial force of a single

A pile driver consists of heavy weights that are dropped onto nails, driving the nails into a block of wood, as shown in Figure 1. When the weight is increased or weights are dropped from a higher position, the nail is driven further into the wood ...

Physical modelling of pile-group effect on the local scour in submarine environments
Pile groups are extensively utilized to provide stability of offshore structures and bridges across rivers. Under the actions of waves and current, severe local scour can be induced around the pile groups in cohesionless soils, compromising the safety of

Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs
