Benchmarking Data‐Driven Control of Octopus‐Inspired Soft Arms in Underwater Environment
Underwater soft robots present safe, compliant interaction, yet reproducible control remains scarce. This work presents an open benchmark for octopus‐inspired arms: a smooth, velocity‐diverse data‐collection scheme produces a compact dataset to train a vanilla policy.

Shaft resistance of model pile in dry silt [PDF]
A test apparatus to measure the load transfer along the shaft of a model pile inserted in a specimen of silt is described. This apparatus allows independent control of the boundary stresses of a cylindrical silt specimen in the vertical and horizontal ...

Abstract This article examines the psychological effects of migration detention in the European Union's Closed Controlled Access Center (CCAC) on Samos through an ecological lens. It explores a double normalization of suffering: the brutalization of necropolitical migration governance and the simultaneous understanding of resulting distress as an ...

Experimental Study on the Behavior of X-Section Pile Subjected to Cyclic Axial Load in Sand
X-section cast-in-place concrete pile is a new type of foundation reinforcement technique featured by the X-shaped cross-section. Compared with a traditional circular pile, an X-section pile with the same cross-sectional area has larger side resistance ...

Segmental composition and nerve distribution of the brachial plexus in Galictis cuja
Abstract Galictis cuja is a neotropical mustelid with terrestrial locomotor habits, yet the anatomy of its brachial plexus has remained undescribed. This study characterizes the origin, organization, and distribution of the brachial plexus nerves in 15 adult specimens (30 antimeres).

Three‐dimensional digital analysis of musteloid masticatory muscle architecture
Musteloids span an enormous breadth of dietary modes within a single superfamily. In this study, we utilize digital dissection techniques to reconstruct the internal 3D anatomy of muscles within the musteloid feeding apparatus, and explore how dietary specializations might alter the size, orientation, and curvature of fascicles therein.
