Umbilical pilonidal sinus

Abstract A rare case of umbilical pilonidal sinus is reported—the only documented case of barber's pilonidal of the umbilicus. Possible mechanisms of formation are described. It is suggested that this possibility should be considered in cases of resistant or recurrent omphalitis.

Umbilical Pilonidal Sinus

The author presents one such case of an umbilical pilonidal sinus in an obese male patient that presented with recurrent episodes of umbilical discharge. The condition was treated with sinus excision and umbilical reconstruction.

Endoanal pilonidal sinus: case report and literature review
