The Monogenea fauna was studied from the gills of the catfish Pimelodus maculatus. Fish were caught from Río de la Plata, in Buenos Aires harbour (Argentina). Five species of Monogenea were found. The structure of the monogenean community was analysed at the component and infracommunity level.
