Root‐Stimulated Movements in Mimosa Pudica for Biohybrid Robotic Systems
Advanced Robotics Research, Volume 2, Issue 3, June 2026.This study demonstrates that thermal and electrical stimulation of Mimosa pudica root induces movement of the petiole and pinnules without direct stimulation of the aerial organs, thereby enabling a plant‐based robotic gripper and providing a foundation for the development of intelligent and sustainable systems.
