Effects of CuO Sintering Aids on Microstructure and Electric Properties for (Na0.48K0.473Li0.04Sr0.007) (Nb0.883Ta0.05Sb0.06Ti0.007)O3 Ceramics

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
In this paper, the effects of CuO sintering aids on microstructure and electric properties are investigated for the non-stoichiometric (Na0.48K0.473Li0.04Sr0.007)(Nb0.883Ta0.05Sb0.06Ti0.007)O3+x mol% CuO lead free ceramics.

Comparative Study Between Intramedullary K-wire Fixation Versus Transverse Pinning in Treatment of Fifth Metacarpal Neck Fracture [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Medical Arts, 2020
Background: Fifth metacarpals and phalangeal fractures are common, and neck fractures of the fifth metacarpal is the commonest. Improper treatment is associated with negative economic impact due to its associated disabilities.

Vortex Molecular Crystal and Vortex Plastic Crystal States in Honeycomb and Kagome Pinning Arrays

open access: yes, 2007
Using numerical simulations, we investigate vortex configurations and pinning in superconductors with honeycomb and kagome pinning arrays. We find that a variety of novel vortex crystal states can be stabilized at integer and fractional matching field ...

Wrist Radiographic Indices and Patients’ Performance Following Three Surgical Methods for Management of Distal Radius Fractures: A Randomized Single-Blind Controlled Trial [PDF]

open access: yesTravmatologiâ i Ortopediâ Rossii
Background. Distal radius fracture has been reported as the most common type of extremity fractures in adults. No treatment method has been introduced definitely for this type of fracture, especially for maintaining hand function in the best state ...

Implications of pinned occupation numbers for natural orbital expansions: I. Generalizing the concept of active spaces

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
The concept of active spaces simplifies the description of interacting quantum many-body systems by restricting to a neighborhood of active orbitals around the Fermi level.

Effects of Neutron Irradiation on Pinning Force Scaling in State-of-the-Art Nb3Sn Wires

open access: yes, 2013
We present an extensive irradiation study involving five state-of-the-art Nb3Sn wires which were subjected to sequential neutron irradiation up to a fast neutron fluence of 1.6 * 10^22 m^-2 (E > 0.1 MeV).

Giant increase in critical current density of KxFe2-ySe2 single crystals

open access: yes, 2012
By using post-annealing and quenching technique, we show that the critical current density Jc,ab of KxFe2-ySe2 single crystals can be enhanced more than one order of magnitude up to ~ 2.1 \times 10^4 A/cm^2 at 1.8 K.

Phase diagram of randomly pinned vortex matter in layered superconductors: dependence on the details of the point pinning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We study the thermodynamic and structural properties of the superconducting vortex system in high temperature layered superconductors, with magnetic field normal to the layers, in the presence of a small concentration of strong random point pinning ...

Vortex Guidance and Transport in Channeled Pinning Arrays

open access: yes, 2019
We numerically examine vortices interacting with pinning arrays where a portion of the pinning sites have been removed in order to create coexisting regions of strong and weak pinning. The region without pinning sites acts as an easy-flow channel.
