London equation studies of thin-film superconductors with a triangular antidot lattice
We report on a study of vortex pinning in nanoscale antidot defect arrays in the context of the London Theory. Using a wire network model, we discretize the array with a fine mesh, thereby providing a detailed treatment of pinning phenomena. The use of a

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Nanosized Pinning Centers in the Rare Earth-Barium-Copper-Oxide Thin-Film Superconductors
Since the discovery of high-temperature superconductivity, significant progress in the fabrication of REBCO-based (Rare Earth Barium Copper mixed Oxides) thin-films superconductors has been achieved.

The strengthening of reentrant pinning by collective interactions in the peak effect
Since it was first observed about 40 years ago [1], the peak effect has been the subject of numerous research mainly impelled by the desire to determine its exact mechanisms.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Magnetic nanoparticles as efficient bulk pinning centers in type-II superconductors
Enhancement of flux pinning by magnetic nanoparticles embedded into the bulk of type-2 superconductor is studied both theoretically and experimentally.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Open coronal plane fracture of the distal phalanx treated by flexion block pinning: a case report
A distal phalanx may fracture in an atypical shape after high-energy trauma. A 61-year-old man sustained an open fracture of the distal phalanx of his left thumb while using a power saw.

The flux pinning force and vortex phase diagram of single crystal FeTe0.60Se0.40
The flux pinning force density (Fp) of the single crystalline FeTe0.60Se0.40 superconductor has been calculated from the magnetization measurements. The normalized Fp versus h (=H/Hirr) curves are scaled using the Dew-Hughes formula to underline the ...
