Glob Chang BiolDrought responses of European beech varied along regional environmental gradients, with greater resistance and resilience at warmer, drier sites. Tree‐ring δ13C and Ca increased during drought but were not related to growth responses. Contrasting responses among admixed species highlight the potential resilience benefits of mixed forests.
