A comparative analysis of GEANT4, MCNP6 and FLUKA on proton‐induced gamma‐ray simulation
Abstract Background Precise range verification is essential in proton therapy to minimize treatment margins due to the steep dose fall‐off of proton beams. The emission of secondary radiation from nuclear reactions between incident particles and tissues stands out as a promising method for range verification. Two prominent techniques are PET and Prompt

Dalitz plot studies of D0 → KS0π+π− decays
The availaible data on the D0 → KS0π+π− decays are analysed in the framework of the quasi two-body QCD factorization approximation. The annihilation, via Wexchange, amplitudes are added to the weak-decay tree amplitudes.

Neutrino-induced coherent pion production off nuclei reexamined
It is pointed out that so far all theoretical estimates of coherent pion production off nuclei induced by neutrinos rely on the 'local approximation' well known in photonuclear physics. The effects of dropping this approximation are discussed.

EEG Correlates of Auditory Short‐Term Memory and Dissimilarity Perception in Young and Older Adults
In this study, we investigated auditory short‐term memory for five‐pitch sequences in a group of young adults and a group of older adults. The evaluation of dissimilarity between two pitch sequences led to a negative slow wave (NSW) that was higher in young adults when the sequences were same, different, or transposed. NSW was higher when the sequences

Chiral extrapolation of the sigma resonance
We analyze results on isoscalar ππ scattering from a Nf=2+1 lattice QCD calculation by the HadronSpectrum collaboration by re-summing the two-flavor chiral scattering amplitude of the next-to-leading order in the so-called inverse amplitude method.

Management of ischemic optic neuropathies
Ischemic optic neuropathies (IONs) consist primarily of two types: anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AION) and posterior ischemic optic neuropathy (PION).

Hard exclusive pion electroproduction at backward angles with CLAS
We report on the first measurement of cross sections for exclusive deeply virtual pion electroproduction off the proton, ep→e′nπ+, above the resonance region at backward pion center-of-mass angles.

Observation and investigation of πK atoms
There is accurate relation between lifetime of atoms, consisting of pion and kaon, and a difference of S-wave pion kaon scattering length with isospin 1/2 and 3/2: |a1/2 - a3/2 |. This difference is predicted by low energy QCD.

Soft pion theorem for hard near threshold pion production
We prove new soft pion theorem for the near threshold pion production by a hard electromagnetic probe. This theorem relates various near threshold pion production amplitudes to the nucleon distribution amplitudes.
