Foamed Concrete Sealing Materials for Coal Seam Gas Drainage Boreholes: A Review
This study investigates the sealing performance of foamed concrete in gas drainage boreholes. By comparing leakage pathways (a, c) with sealed systems (b, d), the research demonstrates how foamed concrete effectively fills mining‐induced fractures and resists deformation.

Split‐disk testing of precast ultra‐high performance fiber‐reinforced concrete tubes
Abstract Ultra‐high performance fiber‐reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) has great potential for structural applications involving precast cylindrical shapes, including pipes, silos and stay‐in‐place forms for concrete columns. This study examines the performance of UHPFRC rings under internal pressure simulated using the split‐disk loading method, along ...

Abstract Grouted sleeve connectors (GSCs) are widely used in precast/prefabricated concrete structures. To ensure force transfer, connectors are often overdesigned in length. This practice has an unintended consequence of reducing the plastic deformation capacity of the connection region and hence the displacement ductility of the precast structure as ...

Angry Place Claims and the Deceptive Female Body
In this article, we explore bodily challenges women can experience when making angry place claims in social interactions based on interviews with 47 women across two generations and Candace Clark's concepts of social place claims and micro‐hierarchy. Our empirical analysis explores situations where women experience that their bodies negatively affect ...

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Research on Pipeline Stress Detection Method Based on Double Magnetic Coupling Technology
Oil and gas pipelines are subject to soil corrosion and medium pressure factors, resulting in stress concentration and pipe rupture and explosion. Non-destructive testing technology can identify the stress concentration and defect corrosion area of the ...

ABSTRACT The breathing system of an oil‐immersed transformer is of vital importance for maintaining equilibrium between internal and external pressures, with any malfunction potentially disrupting the transformer's stable operation. This study develops a thermal–fluid–structure interaction (TFSI) model to simulate the breathing phenomenon in a 110 kV ...
