Flexible dependence and software pipelining
Proceedings Fourth International Conference/Exhibition on High Performance Computing in the Asia-Pacific Region, 2000Software pipelining is an effective approach to loop scheduling. A common problem is that, if some paths are severely constrained by dependence cycles while others are not, how to find an optimal schedule without splitting paths. By removing control dependencies, speculation provides a general but limited answer.

Software pipelining for Jetpipeline architecture
Proceedings of the International Symposium on Parallel Architectures, Algorithms and Networks (ISPAN), 2002High performance processors based on pipeline processing play an important role in scientific computation. We have proposed a hybrid pipeline architecture named Jetpipeline in our former work. The concept of Jetpipeline comes from the integration of superscalar, VLIW and vector architectures.

Software-Defined Flow Table Pipeline
2015 IEEE International Conference on Cloud Engineering, 2015Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is revolutionizing data center networks for cloud computing with its ability to enable network virtualization and powerful network resource management that are crucial in any multi-tenant environment. In order to support sophisticated network control logic, the data plane of a switch should have a flexible Flow Table ...

Efficient Dataflow Software Pipelining
1991Those who design high-performance architectures today must design machines in such a way that compiler technology can exploit the power of their architectures—often through parallelism at many different levels. Moreover, new compiler concepts and techniques are needed to cope with rapidly advancing hardware technology.

Software pipelining of loops by pipelining strongly connected components
Proceedings of the Twenty-Fourth Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2002A modified data dependency graph (DDG) for modeling loop-optimizing restrictions is proposed. By using it, pipelining, loop-carried data dependencies and folding of individual multicycle operations over iteration boundaries can be modeled. Properties of semantically correct software pipelining transformations are first defined in the acyclic DDG of the

Software Pipelining for Packet Filters
2007Packet filters play an essential role in traffic management and security management on the Internet. In order to create software-based packet filters that are fast enough to work even under a DOS attack, it is vital to effectively combine both the higher-level optimization related to algorithmic structure and the lower-level optimization related to ...

Software Pipelining by Kernel Recognition
2016Kernel recognition techniques avoid the search for an appropriate initiation interval by dealing directly with a representation of the unrolled loop and its compaction. Intuitively, kernel recognition tries to achieve the effect of fully unrolling and then compacting the loop.
