Development of biocompatible parylene neurocages [PDF]
We present a refined method and design for building parylene neurocages for in vitro studies of live neural networks. Parylene neurocages are biocompatible and very robust, making them ideally suited for studying the synaptic connections between ...

Direct Patterning of a Cyclotriveratrylene Derivative for Directed Self-assembly of C60 [PDF]
A novel apex-modified cyclotriveratrylene (CTV) derivative with an attached thiolane-containing lipoic acid linker was directly patterned onto gold substrates via dip-pen nanolithography (DPN).

We generate hafnium nanostructures by first depositing polystyrene particles of varying diameter followed by physical vapour deposition of hafnium thin films. The resultant structure shows a kill‐on‐contact effect against both Gram‐negative Escherichia coli and Gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus.

Surface characterization data for tethered polyacrylic acid layers synthesized on polysulfone surfaces. [PDF]
The data presented are supplementary to an article [Kim et al., 2019] on synthesis and surface characterization of tethered polyacrylic acid (PAA) layers on polysulfone (PSf) film/membrane surfaces via atmospheric pressure plasma-induced graft ...

High‐Performance, Paper‐Based Microelectronics via a Micromodular Fabrication Process
This study demonstrates high‐performance silicon micromodular transistors on cellulose nanomaterial‐coated paper, with interconnects formed via e‐jet printing. Transistors exhibit excellent electrical properties and maintain performance under applied strain.

Analytical perturbative theories of motion in highly inhomogeneous gravitational fields : Ariadna AO/1-6790/11/NL/CBI [PDF]
In this report we show that modern computer performances and state-of-the-art algebraic manipulator software are sufficiently developed to carry out our generalised analytical perturbative theory.

Surface-induced charge state conversion of nitrogen-vacancy defects in nanodiamonds
We present a study of the charge state conversion of single nitrogen-vacancy (NV) defects hosted in nanodiamonds (NDs). We first show that the proportion of negatively-charged NV$^{-}$ defects, with respect to its neutral counterpart NV$^{0}$, decreases ...

Low‐temperature passivation of SiC reveals that optical surface quality and chemical stability are not directly correlated. Ar plasma‐treated and SiNx‐passivated surfaces yield the lowest photoluminescence background, whereas CF4 plasma and ALD‐grown dielectrics introduce higher emission.
