Dietary information on piscivorous birds obtainable from prey remains via morphological, molecular and microelemental analysis

open access: yes, 2021

Since these birds prey mainly on fish, they are deemed to compete with humans for food. As a result, piscivorous birds often face measures to scare them off or to reduce their number and reproductive success.
