The genetic diversity and evolution of field pea (Pisum) studied by high throughput retrotransposon based insertion polymorphism (RBIP) marker analysis

open access: yesBMC Evolutionary Biology, 2010
Background The genetic diversity of crop species is the result of natural selection on the wild progenitor and human intervention by ancient and modern farmers and breeders.

On three cultivated subspecies of pea (Pisum sativum L.)

open access: yesВавиловский журнал генетики и селекции, 2017
The common pea (Pisum sativum L.) is an important crop characterised by high diversity, taxonomic fixation of which may be important for selection as it attracts attention to the taxa recognised, although this recognition can be poorly justified.

The development rhythm of the flower-bud in some Papilionaceae species. Part II. Microsporogenesis, macrosporogenesis and early gametogenesis in Pisum sp. forms against the background of bud development

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2015
The process of microsporogenesis and development of pollen grains was found to occur in an identical rhythm in 14 examined forms of Pisum sp. as compared with the development of the perianth. In the 3 forms studied in detail: Pisum sativum L.

Association of traits promoting resistance to the adzuki bean beetle, Callosobruchus chinensis (L.) (Coleoptera: Bruchidae) in pea genotypes grown at various soil fertility levels

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
Adzuki bean beetle, Callosobruchus chinensis (L.) (Coleoptera: Bruchidae), is one of the most important pests of pea (Pisum sativum L.) crops in Ethiopia. The study focused on the association of resistance potential in the no-choice test of pea genotypes

The Isoperoxidases of Pisum sativum [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1967
The heterogeneity of the peroxidases in peas was examined by starch gel electrophoresis. Comparisons were made between tall and dwarf cultivars and among organ systems developed in light and darkness. Isoperoxidase bands could be grouped as cathodic, anodic and near-neutral (at pH 9.0) types.

Clethodim induced pollen sterility and meiotic abnormalities in vegetable crop Pisum sativum L.

open access: yesCaryologia, 2020
Pesticides are highly noxious materials.Their poisonousness might not be unequivocally precise to the target entities but can unfavorably disturb various procedures in the non-target host plants.

Antixenosis in Glycine max (L.) Merr against Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris)

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
To reveal the antixenosis potential against the pea aphid Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) we analyzed the pea aphid survival and probing behavior, and the quantitative and qualitative variation of flavonoids in the leaves of selected ...
