Impact of insulin resistance on post‐stroke depression and outcomes in diabetes
Patients with insulin resistance had a higher risk of developing post‐stroke depression after an acute cerebral infarction. The Homeostasis Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance is an independent risk factor for the development of PSD. Reducing IR may help reduce the incidence of PSD.
