EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Incidence of Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia utilizing a polymerase chain reaction‐based diagnosis in patients receiving bendamustine

open access: yesCancer Medicine, 2021
Background Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) is a life‐threatening infection occurring in patients receiving bendamustine. The poorly defined incidence, particularly when utilizing polymerase chain reaction (PCR)‐based diagnostic techniques ...

PERUBAHAN STRUKTUR DAN PERANAN KELUARGA DALAM PJP II

open access: yesPopulasi, 2016
The achievement of population policy in the last twe decades, infect, has also brought about problems that should be anticipated. Decrease in fertility rate for instance, along with a tendency to live separately from parents and increasing intention to celibacy in turo will result in change of family structure.

Enhanced Endoscopic Internal Drainage of Gastric Abscess Through Additively Manufactured Stents

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Postoperative gastric leaks are often treated with off‐label biliary double‐pigtail stents, yet conventional extruded designs are not optimized for leak anatomy, can migrate, and may limit abscess evacuation. PETALS is introduced to optimize transmural drainage geometry and enable patient‐specific 3D‐printable stents.

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome following HAART Initiation in an HIV-infected Patient Being Treated for Severe Pneumonia: Case Report and Literature Review [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Journal of Critical Care Medicine, 2016
Pnuemocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) is one of leading causes of acute respiratory failure in patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and the mortality rate remains high in mechanically ventilated HIV patients with PJP.

The IRIS paradox: Imaging findings in a case of PJP‐IRIS

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, 2022
AbstractImmune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia infection reflects an exaggerated inflammatory response of the host immune system to an antigen, which is temporally related to recovery of the immune system.

Direct Synthesis of High‐Valence Protein@UiO‐66 Composites: Linking Crystallization Pathways to Protein Encapsulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports a direct, biocompatible method to synthesize UiO‐66, enabling one‐step encapsulation of proteins without compromising crystallinity or activity. Using advanced in situ and ex situ techniques, the study reveals that proteins integrate concurrently with MOF growth, forming crystalline protein@UiO‐66 nanoparticles, and provide insight ...

Pneumocystis jirovecii Pneumonia Prophylaxis in Patients with ANCA Vasculitis on Rituximab Maintenance Therapy

open access: yesGlomerular Diseases
Introduction: Although an increased risk of Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) has been reported in adults receiving rituximab for induction therapy, current evidence is lacking on the utility of PJP prophylaxis in ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV ...

Stabilizing discrete-time switched linear systems

open access: yes, 2013
This article deals with stabilizing discrete-time switched linear systems. Our contributions are threefold: Firstly, given a family of linear systems possibly containing unstable dynamics, we propose a large class of switching signals that stabilize a ...
